[Tradition] Hydrangea ★Indigo dyed
Hydrangeas are said to represent patient affection because they endure the long rainy season and still bloom beautifully, and because indigo flowers bloom in clusters, indigo is associated with love.
This hydrangea pattern is a traditional basic pattern that combines simplicity with dignity, and is perhaps the pattern that best expresses the beauty of the deep blue color of indigo dyeing. In the past, it was often used for high-end yukata.
Hydrangeas have petals (sepals) that come together and bloom as a single flower, so they also evoke images of closeness, such as "family togetherness."
This is a masterpiece dyed with a rich navy blue and lustrous "indigo". Take a look at the stylish navy blue that was once popular. It is a very deep and inconvenient (see below) tenugui that is hard to come by anymore.
[★Please note: This product is dyed with "real vat dyes." The color will fade quickly at first, and will transfer to other items when washed. Therefore, please wash the item separately. Also, when new, the color may transfer to white fabric even if it is in contact with the fabric for a long time. After washing about 10 times, the color will gradually settle. We hope you will enjoy the aging process as if you were raising vintage denim.]
