[Tradition] Hail〈Murasaki〉
[Tradition] Hail〈Murasaki〉
This simple traditional Japanese pattern expresses hail. Large and small hail patterns are dyed all over the white fabric. The hail pattern is never interrupted, so it is imbued with the meaning of infinite prosperity. It was also used on the kamishimo kimonos worn by men of samurai families. It is still a popular pattern today as one of the Edo Komon. The color is purple. Combined with the soft look of the chusen dyeing, this hand towel has a very Japanese feel.
With the same pattern,
Sumiiro (gray close to black)
Young grass ■ (Zunda color)
Purple (the color used on New Year's pieces )
