The pattern, which resembles eyes, also has the meaning of warding off evil, so it is said to be good to carry it around to ward off evil and pray for good health. It is a basic pattern for hand towels that is easy to use in the kitchen, but the bright red base dye makes it a perfect fresh accent color.
